I'm Sam, a life long scrumper and free food hunter, I have been running foraging events since 2017. I’m utterly obsessed with mushrooms and all things wild.
Growing up, I bought a book on mushrooms to copy the pictures for my GCSE art project and since then I've been obsessed with mushrooms.
In 2017 I started my running foraging events and it has become my career. It's the best job in the world, I get to talk about plants, mushrooms and nature all day long!
I’ve a background in teaching as I was a secondary school teacher for 10 years prior to teaching foraging.
I’ve taught a range of different foraging events from introductory courses, in depth courses where we cook a meal with our finds from the day, wild booze sessions, and I teach coastal, inland and fungi forays.
